Carbon 14 - 1937 Woodie

Carbon 14 - 1937 Ford Woodie

The Carbon 14 project is one of extreme contrasts. What if modern, pro-touring performance and technology were combined with one of histories most classic, laid-back boulevard cruisers: the 1937 Ford Woodie Station Wagon? The result of these worlds colliding would create quite an impact. Although, not radioactive like its namesake: the Carbon 14 isotope, this car promises to be one of the most exciting street rods to come along in quite awhile.

Carbon 14 is a collaboration between owner Mike Terzich, RPM Hot Rods, and Ragle Design. A solid foundation was laid by Hercules Motor Car Company by integrating a structural steel cage within their expertly crafted ‘37 Ford woodwork. Keeping with the core concept of the vehicle, the wooden body features carbon-fiber inlays throughout. That extra stout body, along with a custom Roadster Shop chassis, Winters rearend, a monster Baer brake package and an injected Roush 427 will be sure to carve up any autocross or road course... something that no Woodie has ever done before!

When Carbon 14 is stationary, viewers are promised to be blown away by the extensive customizing and engineering that has gone into the vehicle. From the tip of the custom machined grille, to the one-off set of Billet Specialties wheels this car is as equally at home on the show stand as it is on the road.

Look for the Carbon 14 ’37 Woodie to debut at the 2011 Detroit Autorama.
