1969 Trans Am

1969 Trans Am

We built this 69 Pontiac Trans Am for our long time customer and friend Brian Frank.  Brian was very familiar with our work and we were very familiar with what Brian liked in a car so when the car arrived he left the build completely up to us. As a matter of fact Brian didn't see the car or really even a much of a picture of the car until he arrived at Columbus Goodguys where it was debuted for the first time.  Brian absolutely loved the car the moment he saw it!!  The Goodguys Judges must have felt the same way about the Trans Am because the car received a "Top Five" pick in the "Street Machine of The Year" competition..

This car received an extensive amount of custom metal work to set it apart from the rest. We added the rocker panels to give the car a lower appearance, fabricated custom vents in the sides of the front fenders, created a custom integrated rear spoiler, removed the rear bumper and fabricated a custom rear valence. We redesigned the entire front end eliminating the peak in the center of the grill and hood by fabricating a new grille, hood and lower valence. Under the hood we constructed all custom inner fenders, fan shroud and radiator support.   The fabrication then carried to the interior where we made a custom one off dash, console and instrument cluster.

When it came time to paint the car we knew that black would give us the look we were after.  We then called on Icon Graphics to lay down some subtle graphics. After it was painted the car went to Trentz Trick Upholstery to complete the interior.
