A few weeks back we lost our friend Danny Johnson to his battle with cancer. We completed his 62 Bubbletop with a great attention to detail that both he and our shop love to build to. The car has won a quite a few GoodGuys Builder Choice Awards along with being a finalist for Custom Rod of the Year in 2012.

Doug Cabral wins Goodguys Missile giveaway car!

Tracy, California’s Doug Cabral has won the Goodguys Missile Grand Prize Giveaway Car! Cabral – a 17 year Goodguys member and P-Town Pushrods Car Club Member was shocked when he got the call from Goodguys telling him he’d won the super muscle car. “I did what” he said.
He was not able to attend today’s giveaway ceremony in Scottsdale due to an ear condition which precludes him from flying. He qualified to win the car at the All American Get-Together in Pleasanton back in March. Giveaway contest rules state you must be in attendance at the awards ceremony at which you’re drawn as a finalist but you do not have to be present at the year-end giveaway ceremony to win.

RPM X Frame Custom Chassis Now Available
Being a huge fan of the X frame cars, we here at RPM know first hand of all of the downsides to the stock X frame.
Handling is nonexistent, exhaust routing is more than difficult and the aftermarket world has very little to offer to those who want more out of their car.
Recognizing the obvious need for a chassis that would eliminate all of the issues with the X frame, RPM teamed up with The Roadster Shop to design and develop a chassis that would take the Impala, BelAir, Biscayne, and all other X frame cars to the next level!
This new chassis incorporates a drastically stronger dual rail design with a structural center crossmember that will accommodate up to a 3" exhaust alongside the drive shaft. The bottom crossmember unbolts to easily remove the exhaust or the drive shaft.
